The best foundation and concealer

I know I’ve talked about quite a few different foundations on here, and each time I think I’ve found the best one… but now I actually think I have found the absolute best. The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear foundation is unbeatable, and it goes with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer amazingly.

I’m not going to waffle on too much about these products, only to say that they really are must-haves in your makeup bag. The Lancome Ultra Wear foundationΒ is very long lasting and has a pretty matte finish but isn’t heavy, cakey, or drying at all. For someone with very oily skin, that everything seems to slide off of in a couple of hours, this foundation is a miracle. It literally lasts all day (or at least a good 10 hours) and stays put. The best thing about it is it doesn’t sit in my pores, which many foundations seem to do, it just smooths over them perfectly and looks nice and natural, even though it’s medium-to-full coverage. It comes in 40 shades, so there’s plenty to choose from. I actually mix two shades (035 and 045) to get my perfect match.

And then there’s the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer… need I say more? This is a product that has probably been mentioned a billion and one times because it is so brilliant. It covers under eye bags so well, I don’t use a huge amount of this (although I know lots of people use quite a bit of it) under my eyes because a little goes a long way. It really brightens under the eyes as well and gives a nice radiance to the skin. I find the texture of this goes well with the Lancome foundation – I often like to mix textures, dewy with matte…etc. to create balance on the skin. I use the shade Custard, it’s just such a nice shade because it’s a little lighter than the foundation so it brightens, and it’s not too yellow or too pink.

Seriously guys, if you’re looking for a new foundation or concealer, you should really consider these two as they are genuinely so so good.
